Not That I'm BitterBitterness is Sweet Assholes Who Want to Run Me OverI am sick of nearly getting run over every goddam day. I'm a pedestrian in the Metro DC area. And if you run me over, I am, apparently, worth extra points. Oh, wait. I understand that in this city you need to drive aggressively in order to get anywhere. Traffic in DC is a nightmare, and pushing your way past other cars in a parking lot is the only way you're getting inside Target before you require dentures. Fine, I get it. But there is NO excuse for driving aggressively around pedestrians. Pushing past them, crowding up next to them, honking your horn at them when they're just trying to cross the fucking street MAKES YOU A GIANT ASSHOLE. If you have ever honked at a pedestrian who was not doing something illegal, please slit your wrists right now. The human race will no longer be requiring your services. If you have ever honked at the car in front of you to hurry up and GO when he was waiting for someone to cross the street, please die in a fire. Believe it or not, encouraging other drivers to fucking run people over with their cars is not considered acceptable behavior. I have actually been hit by a car while crossing the street, so I know exactly how dangerous these assholes can be. One minute you're waiting for the light to turn so you can cross, the next minute you're getting hit by a driver who apparently thinks that right turn on red means it's okay for him to turn directly into pedestrians. Knowing that cars can and will run you over means it's damn scary to face an aggressive driver on the street. He's late for work and thinks he's special. Guess what, asshole? We're all trying to get to work, too. Only we're not driving gigantic killing machines that we use to intimidate other people into letting us go first! Oh, and since you seem to have forgotten this, let me give you a little driving tip: PEDESTRIANS HAVE RIGHT OF WAY, YOU STUPID MOTHERFUCKER! Not that I'm bitter. last updated 2 years ago # |
